The Department of Earth System Science at UC Irvine is recruiting a tenure-track Assistant Professor in the area of Climate Dynamics. We welcome applicants who use observations and/or models to examine physical processes regarding climate system variability and connections between different parts of the climate system.  Candidates should complement the Department's existing strengths in atmospheric and oceanic sciences, ecosystems, climate & global change. Candidates are expected to develop an active research program, and to teach and direct research at the undergraduate, graduate, and postgraduate levels.
