Aliasing
q The variances at frequency
higher than the Nyquist
frequency (k>k*) will be
“aliased” into  lower
frequency (k<k*) in the
power spectrum. This is the
so-called “aliasing problem”.
q This is a problem if there are
large variances in the data
that have frequencies smaller
than k*.
