ESS Inclusive Excellence Committee Update

Last June we shared a Commitment to Action in support of Black Lives Matter. More than a statement of solidarity or simply a performative measure, we created this living document as an action plan with embedded accountability. Now, eight months later and in honor of Black History Month, we want to share some updates on actions taken or in progress. These are departmental efforts in addition to the breadth of programming being offered through the University’s Black Thriving Initiative, the UCI End Racism Initiative,  and the School of Physical Sciences.
