Ada is a PhD student in the Egoh research group who earned an M.Sc. in Natural Resources and Environmental Management from the University of Buea in 2016. Her research concerns the impacts of commodity trade on ecosystem services, with focus on palm oil trade in Cameroon.
Andrea is a third-year undergraduate student majoring in Environmental Engineering. She is working on a project to analyze the distribution of air quality improvements in California decarbonization scenarios.
Steve is a Professor in the Dept. of Earth System Science with a joint appointment in Civil & Envtl. Engineering. He researches energy and agricultural systems, the impacts of pollution and environmental change, international trade, and “lock-in” of environmental problems.
Julianne is a PhD student who received her B.S. in Earth System Science at Dartmouth College in 2018. Her research interests include net-zero emissions CO2 emissions and difficult-to-decarbonize industry sectors.
Benis is an Assistant Professor in the Dept. of Earth System Science. Her research involves mapping and valuing of ecosystem services and understanding the economic consequences of land degradation on human well-being and the links between ecosystem services and biodiversity.
Robert is a PhD candidate who received his B.S. in Earth System Science at UC Irvine in 2016. His research interests include the infrastructural inertia of CO2 emissions and the adaptive capacity of agriculture.
Mody is a Mechanical Engineer with over 10 years of research and teaching experience in distributed energy resources, renewable energy technologies, energy efficiency systems and energy policy. He is now working [to map ecosystem services in Cameroon.]
Lauren is a third-year undergraduate student majoring in Environmental Engineering. She is working on a project to estimate the material and carbon intensity of climate mitigation scenarios.
Kyle is a PhD student who received his B.S. in Environmental Science at the University of Colorado Boulder in 2018. His research focuses on climate change impacts to ecosystem services and the implications of such impacts to human societies and overall ecosystem functioning.
Charity earned a PhD in Environmental Science from the State University of New York, and is now working to develop and communicate strategies to better manage California’s natural lands for climate change, including mapping and valuation of various ecosystem services in the state.
Kelly is a third-year undergraduate student majoring in Environmental Science & Policy. She is working on a project to analyze the distribution of air quality improvements in California decarbonization scenarios.
Yue researches global food-energy-water systems, including the flexibility of water uses and agricultural vulnerability to changing snowmelt. She recently joined the faculty in the Geography Dept. at the Ohio State University.
Dan earned her PhD from the Dept. of Earth System Science at Tsinghua University in 2017 and is now researching "committed" CO2 emissions and geophyscial constraints on variable renewable energy systems. She has now joined the faculty in the same department at Tsinghua.
Chaopeng earned his PhD from Tsinghua University in 2017 and while at UCI researched the climate-air quality-agriculture systems, including the combined effects of air pollution and warming on California perennial crops and the drivers of global land-use emissions. He is now an Asst. Prof. at Tsinghua University.
